Public Tours of the City
Daily walking tours everyday at 10am, 12noon, 2pm & 4pm, costing only £6pp. There is no need to book this tour, all you have to do is show up at 11 Carlisle Road at your preferred start time.
This tour covers a full background of the city’s history – as we walk on the historic 400 year old walls your guide will cover everything from the 6th Century Christian Settlement to the Siege of 1689 and the modern day troubles.
On this tour there are many fabulous views to be admired of churches, Cathedrals and the murals.
Derry Girls Tour
Beginning at the famous Derry Girls mural on Orchard Street , walk in the footsteps of your favourite Derry Girls (not forgetting the wee English fella of course!) . Learn interesting facts about the show, visit filming locations and have plenty of craic with your resident Derry Girl Charlene or pure bred Derry man Garvin. We have had the pleasure of hosting many stars from the show on our tour so if its good enough for the stars then its good enough for you!
From April – October we offer public Derry Girls Tours every Saturday at 12noon, costing only £10pp. This tour must be pre booked in advance by email derrycitytours@icloud.com or calling us on 07712937997. This tour can also be booked privately at a day or time of your choosing (subject to availability).
Private Bespoke Tour
Are you interested in a certain aspect of our city’s history? Or do you simply want the pleasure of having a personal guide? Then do not hesitate to book a private tour with us at a day or time of your choosing. We offer full day tours, half day tours and can organise an itinerary specially designed to your interests and needs. Contact us for availability or more information.
Step on Guide
Do you have a coach of visitors coming into the city? Then look no further – Martin McCrossan City Tours offer step on guides at group rates for your company. Our guide can meet you at the designated Coach Park, come onto your coach and give a full coach tour of the city. Alternatively, our guide can also finish off the tour with a short walk on the walls so that your visitors can boast that they walked on the only fully intact walled city in the country. We proudly offer this service to many tour operators including (but not limited to) CIE Tours, Tauck Travel, Rick Steves Tours, Abbey Ireland, Maynes Holidays, Glenton Travel and Go Ahead Tours.
Food Tours
Are you a foodie? Maybe you are looking to treat your staff to a day out? Hen Party? Stag Party? Whatever your occasion may be there is no better tour for your group than a McCrossan food tour! We have many culinary delights to offer in our city and our guides know the best hidden gems and award winning restaurants to tickle you taste buds! Showcasing local produce, craft beers and even locally produced gins we design these food tours specially created to your group’s needs and desires. Must be prebooked and subject to availability.
Halloween / Spooky Tours
Did you know that Derry – Londonderry was named the Number 1 Halloween Destination in the world? Our halloween festival is one of Europe’s largest, attracting visitors from all over the world. Our ancient history means that there is no shortage of ghost stories about our city. We offer family friendly Halloween tours at the end of October, but if you can’t wait until then to hear of our ghostly goings on in the city then this tour can also be booked privately at a time of your choosing.
School/University Educational Tours
