Public Tours of the City

Daily walking tours everyday at 10am, 12noon, 2pm & 4pm, costing only ÂĢ6pp.  There is no need to book this tour, all you have to do is show up at 11 Carlisle Road at your preferred start time.

This tour covers a full background of the city’s history – as we walk on the historic 400 year old walls your guide will cover everything from the 6th Century Christian Settlement to the Siege of 1689 and the modern day troubles.

On this tour there are many fabulous views to be admired of churches, Cathedrals and the murals.

What's Included?

This tour meets at 11 Carlisle Road at 10am, 12noon, 2pm & 4pm (meeting point pictured above).  It covers a full background of the city’s history including Emigration , The Plantation, The Siege and modern political history including Bloody Sunday and overlooking the murals in the Bogside and Fountain areas.

We cover a route of roughly 0.5 miles and walk on top of the city’s historic 400 year old walls.  We will see the oldest building inside the walled city , St Columbs Cathedral (pictured above), St Eugene’s Cathedral, St Columba’s Long Tower, St Augustines and First Derry Presbyterian Church.
